Description
Basic Aerodynamics & Dynamics of Flight for Pilots – Dr R Neve
What is essential to know about aerodynamics and flight dynamics, as opposed to merely useful?
Why is it so dangerous to pull 2g turns immediately after takeoff?
Why are aerobatics aircraft different from trainers?
Why are some aircraft more stable than others?
Written for pilots wishing to extend their knowledge of this fascinating subject, this book gives the answers to these questions and others in a straightforward and logical way. It should also be useful for those undertaking any level of flying training or starting a degree course in aeronautical engineering.
Dr Ray Neve runs the aeronautical Engineering degree course at City University in London. Prior to this he worked with the British Aircraft Corporation (now BAE Systems) in the design office at Weybridge and the flight test centre at Wisley. In his spare time, he is an enthusiastic (but impoverished) member of Surrey and Kent Flying Club at Biggin Hill.
