Cessna 182N

Description:

182N £57,950

The wide-body legacy Cessna 182 (produced after the D model) has become one of the most sought-after utility aeroplanes in the world. Wherever loads need to be shifted from short strips - the early lighter aircraft, with basic equipment are the go-to tool. This 1970 model Cessna 182N has a 5247hrs TTAF, and 1408hrs SMOH on the O-470-R which was overhauled and in service at December 2010. The McCauley propeller has 377hrs SPOH at January 2012. ZU comes with a new ARC/Annual good through to July 2024.

The panel has a King KMA-20 audio panel, Trig TY96 8.33Khz Com, King KX 170 Nav/Com, Narco AT150 Mode C and a Telex Intercom. We have removed the skydive step, it’s included with the aircraft. All seats and seatbelts are present, and installed. The paint would be a 5/10 and the interior would be a 3/10. Glass is good to be fair.

People in the Skydiving business say the answer to every dilemma in another 182, as it is the most profitable way to drop tandem pairs. They say it’s an easy aeroplane to operate and much more cost-effective than a 206. That’s not our business but we do know plenty of people make a living out of it. The skydive door itself is a top-hinged door that latches in 3 places. We have sourced an original door if you want to change it over. If we were keeping it, we would love to have modified it as a bush spec aeroplane and made it as light as humanly possible. There is nothing to touch the 182 for raw performance. A Cessna 180 would cost twice the price, but it won’t do twice as much.

This aeroplane won’t suit everyone, if you want a more expensive C182 please get in touch as we do have a more expensive later model with IFR equipment - for 2.5x times the price. Even factoring in updated with a new paint/interior the book value of this aircraft is over £76k. For someone with a real use case for a utility aircraft, £57,950 is a fair price. In fact, at this price, it’s priced below wholesale value.

Take it, fly it, update it, use it. Not often does the chance come up to do this with a G-Reg Cessna 182.
