Piper J5A Project

The aircraft has been completely rebuilt, but due to ill health is reluctantly being offered for sale.

The J5A Cub is eligible to have a permit to fly with the LAA and would be an exciting project for the right person.

Aircraft details:

• Wings completely rebuilt and covered in ceconite.
• New sealed wing struts and stainless fittings.
• Fuselage stripped, checked for corrosion and recovered in ceconite.
• New disc brakes conversion.
• New tyres and inner tubes.
• New windscreen fitted.
• New dashboard and instruments.
• Tailplane and rudder rebuilt and covered in ceconite.
• New tail bracing wires and fittings.

Engine:

• Continental 0-200 with new millennium cylinders fitted.
• Light weight started fitted.
• New exhaust fitted.
• New Hercules prop fitted.
